As Benjamin Franklin said at the signing of the Declaration of Independence, "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." Our mission is to unify American citizens of all political persuasions who agree that America is abandoning its founding principles, is rapidly straying from capitalism to socialism, moving towards usurpatory taxation and social manipulation, and that government, especially Congress, is out of control and no longer serving the sovereign will of the people. Political apathy amongst American voters has allowed professional politicians to hijack their sovereignty. In the 2008 presidential election, according to Federal Election Commission data, out of a voting age population of 231.2 million, only 56.8%, or 132.6 million citizens, voted. And this was the highest voter turnout since 1968! But it is not just the votes that count. Americans MUST get more involved in understanding who they are electing and for what those candidates stand. Our politicians continually pull the wool over the eyes of voters with great oratory and promises that too often camouflage their true intentions once in office. The poem "First They Came" attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892 - 1984) is about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power. It is frequently quoted for the dangers of political apathy and the consequence of disunity in the face of common threat. While the poem's wording remains controversial, both in terms of provenance, substance and order of the groups that are mentioned, the poem’s point is clear. Fear, hatred and ignored disunity to a common threat allow the Party to escalate out of control ultimately purging group after group. First They Came Join with Distressed Patriots and Make History "When we assumed the Soldier, we did not lay aside the Citizen." - George Washington America as we know it is at a crossroad in history. Now is the time for YOU, the citizen to step up and become a citizen soldier in the war on Congress. We either stand together as unified citizens to take back from Congress the power and authority reserved for the States as guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment, and return sovereignty to the people, or we allow our nation to disintegrate and bow to an ever imperial Congress intent on creating a special interest influenced government based on extreme socialistic ideology. |
